i see guys breaking the black cap thing all the time but i forget wut its called.. well mine broke. being the reason for my check engine light..
a few questions....





-what is it
-can i get a new one at auto zone or do i have to go to stealership
-is the only way to prevent it from breaking again is bending tab holding it or is there another solution..

evap system purge control valve

 

Push down on the EVAP so it bends down & away from the strut bar.

 

how much are these ?

 

either bend it out of the way, or put some washers on to raise the strut bar a little higher.

guessing it costs around $60, check the dealer. I couldnt find it on advanced auto parts site. Or maybe an org member has one in good shape to sell.

same thing happened to me last year then i got rid of the FSTB becuase purge control valve cost me 120 bucks at the dealer
