Yes I've seen it.

But I think you have to swap the entire front end. Grill, bumper. etc.... Please correct me if I'm wrong, cause I'd like them too...

Re: Yes I've seen it.

I *Think* its just the lights are swappable. The front end issue only comes into play when you want to make your 95 grill into a 97-99 one. For that you have to change the bumper AND the grill.

My .02 cents....

If you want 97+ headlights for your 95-96 I would suggest making the full conversion to 97+ front end. The headlights MAY need the grille in order for everything to fit nice and neat. I own a 96 and have considered converting to a 97+ front end, but after looking at all the other cool parts out there I quickly dropped the issue. If you've already performed a considerable amount of mods to your ride then you may want to go ahead with the front end swap.

Well the only reason I ask is becuase

I plan on maybe purchasing a newer maxima in the summer. It depends though. And I would consider the 95-96 becuase of affordability. And I do like the 97 headlights so thats why I asked.

Re:YES YOU CAN !!

Not to be rued but I must have said it a million times before the bumper has nothing to do with it at all,I don't know were you guys get your info because it is wrong, if you swap your lights and grill for a 97 you will have no problems.I am living proof of this I did this my self, hopefully I will be able to post pics on Saturday or Sunday of my Real Hid's and my Chrome 97 grill and my 97 headlights.

It Fits

I installed a 97+ Front bumper and grill on my 96 Maxima ov er the summer with my old headlights. Everything fits on fine, however, there are some brackets that do not line up exactly. So you might have to fabricate some little home made bracket (not hard at all). Hope it looks good, email with more questions.

I am also thinking of swapping in the '97-'99 headlights on my '96. Do I go to the dealer to do this? I just want to swap the headlights, and keep the '96 front end. Do I also have to swap for the '97-'99 corner lights, or can I keep the '96 corner lights? And lastly, how much will it cost me?

95-96 lights are better, made of glass. 97+s of plastic?!

95-96 lights also have cornering lamps from the factory.

Yup yup, Kenneth is right on. The 95-96 lights are better, they're made of glass so you can upgrade your harness and put really hi wattage bulbs in there without too much owrry of a meltdown. I've also read thread suggesting that 95-96es work better, too. The only thing going for the 97-99 headlights is their look. They look really cool, but their functionality leaves alot to be desired.

hmm what a thought

Now you guys are really making me think about this. It would be becuase of the look and not the functionality.didnt some one put an Hid conversion in there 96 with 97 headlights though.
