Cracked up my Stillen Lip :(

Well my full body kit has been on the car for less then 4 months, and I havent even really been driving the car all that much.

Have been driving it alot lately in the past two weeks and I had it out yesterday and we had a fire call (volunteer firefighter) while I was at work...Took the car from work, to the firehouse, pulled in and wasnt really 100% paying attention, went over a tad bump in the spot and slammed right into the curb. Cracked the Lip right in half. I guess I wasnt really familiar with how much farther I had, and im soo used to having soo much more room in the front in other spots at the fire house.

Brand NEW painted and everything, cracked right in half. Im PI**ED but its done and happened, and Im gonna order another one. DA**IT !!!!

BTW it was a pretty involved truck fire and was put out.lol

Just wanted to vent. Thanks for reading.

No worry. Not sure where you got it from but if it is a real Stillen lip...it can be returned. Just need to cut out the part on the lip with the number but I think you must have a receipt.

I have a receipt. I bought from a Stillen distributer. Does that still count ??

Yes full warranty against cracking / breaking, you will need to contact stillen and ship them the cracked one, pay for shipping to receive the new one.

Then all you need is paint.

They will probably tell me this, but Ill ask here. Do you have to Ship the entire lip or just the broken section ?? I can cut the broken section out without a problem.

Hey Matty, long time no talk buddy.

I just had the same thing happend to me a few weeks ago, spider webbed through the whole left portion. Luckly no pieces fell out so its hard to tell until you get up close. Not sure which route I'm gonna take yet to fix it but let me know if you decide to send it back to Stillen.

Well I feel your pain. I bought a CF lip kit from ionic dynamics about 6 months ago and about 2 months ago I pulled too far into a parking space and the front lip hit the parking curb and put a good sized cracked in the lip. I was pretty pissed. In fact I still am but I don't have the money to buy another lip anytime soon.

But I've definitely learned how to park now.

I hope you can get a new one under warranty.

Sweet, I might only have to send pictures and they will send out a new lip. They said that the picture I am going to emial them is the first step, then if they have suspision beyond their thought, then you have to send the lip out to them. Id rather save on shipping and time so Im going to take many pics.

my stillen lip shattered a few night ago when I hit a skunk. I am really wishing that I would have bought the kit new from stillen so I could have made a warranty claim. I bought mine second hand. Now I just bought a new one from stillen so hopefully I am covered if this happens again. The cold weather must really stiffen up the urethane, because my lip did not just crack, it shattered.

... so if anyone one knows where i can get a used one id really appreciate it! otherwise i guess i have no choice but to drop 200 for a new one

Oh bro I can feel your pain. I did that to my Ionic one about 4 months ago and was pissed. I pulled to far up on a bump stop and it just cracked the middle like a toothpick. Got another now though. Good luck and I hope Stillen takes care of you guys.

That is a little more than a little crack that I thought it was. I can see why you "vented". Are you going to send it back to Stillen for a new one. Whats going on?

Mine broke in half on the highway last month while my mom was driving the car. I think she hit a tire tread or something. I was going to get it painted the next week too.

Well after going back and forth with Stillen Customer Service for over two weeks now, and getting various pictures of the Lip, picture of the Printed Serial Number on the Lip and sending all the information to them, they are stating they have NO record in their system of Redlinemax !!! I even sent them the website listing from redlinemax of the Lip and the battery tie down, directly linking them to the site. Stillen is stating that Redlinemax must have gotten their stillen stuff from a different source...kinda weird.

The best they can do for me is only charge me Frieght and give me the lip. Shipping is going to be $75. I kinda dissapointed since I have all the documentation of buying it NEW and from a reputable Stillen dealer and then Stillen is stating they never even heard of them !?!?!?!? Kinda weird

Thats a bummer. I cracked my lip a while back when it was cold out. I was going to take it off the car, I just didnt get around to it, till it was too late. I fixed it pretty decently since I wasnt about to get the run around with Stillen. It held up all this past year. I figure if its already broken it wont matter to me if I smack it around some more. But from now on I will raise the car back up and take the lip off in the fall and pop them back in the spring.
