Clutch fluid leak

My fluids been leaking out for a while now. I'd have to refill it once every two weeks to every week. I dont know how many others have had this problem, but it looks like the hose going to the transmission is leaking where the metal fitting clamps onto the hose. I'm going to stop by Nissan Monday and get one.. Hopefully that will fix it.

The rubber hose is known to leak. You can get a stainless replacement for less than $30. Thats cheaper than the dealer. There are 2 SS hoses available, one long which replaces all the OEM lines (both rubber and hard) from the slave to the master, and a shorter one which replaces only the rubber line from the slave to the hard line. I have the shorter one, no complaints since I installed it Nov. of 2004.

darnit.. i just went to the dealer and paid $47 for the new line... haha the really sucky thing is, i filled it up friday with fluid, and it all bled out by saturday afternoon; i mean all of it.... i had to have the clutch on the floor and it was still grinding the gears. got all kinds of air in the lines. so i stopped at the parts store and bought a thing of synthetic brake fluid, filled it up at the parts store, and then bled it when i got home. its been all weekend, driving most the whole time, and it hasn't leaked at all!! i'm thinking the synthetic isn't leaking out the same as the regular brake fluid did... if this is the case i just spent almost 50 bucks for nothing.. oy where can i find the SS one??

Just leave the Nissan line in there, now that it's been replaced.

SS line is a good replacement, a lot less likely to leak. You've already ordered the line so not much you can do now, unless you can cancel the order

I'd cancel the order even if you have to pay a restocking fee. Go to THIS THREAD to purchase the ss line

I'm always nervous about putting SS in my engine bay - be careful to keep the braid from touching anything or it will quickly vibrate and rub through it. Particularly wires and hoses. If it has a sleeve over the braid that helps a lot.

the SS line has next to nothing in the way to rub.
