Yes you would... It probably would not work, or at least I "think" it would not work. Do not quote me on that. I think you can put an auto ecu into a manual, and just get a few codes, but not the opposite

That's just common sense really. A 5spd ecu doesnt have any tranny timing built into into it. How could it shift your car? And yes you can use an auto tranny ecu in the manual. You won't have codes if you do it correctly.
