If you did it correctly, it would take you longer than that.

Correctly = use a torque wrench to torque it down, i.e remove the IM.

Well, I guess you'll be the only one dissembeling your entire intake system just to change one knock sensor, go for it.

I would rather do that than start cutting corners and risking the possiblity of over/undertightening it.

BTW, I'm not the only one that thinks this way.

Another thing, you might want to try and post this in the regional forums, because I highly doubt someone in California would want to fly you out for 10 minutes of work.

I did mine the easy way and everything is perfect. It might not be the exact tourque spec but it is -12 with the wind here and I have no garage so that is the way it gets done for now

I've done it the easy and not so easy way. I'd rather do it right.

Torquing down the KS is important because the KS is essentially a resonator, the resonant frequency MAY (not necesarily will) change if u make it too tight, Iin THEORY the KS may become too sensitive, if u make it too loose, again in THEORY it may be not sensitive enough. If i ever get around to changing my KS and i dont have money at the time i will do it myself without removing the IM. If i can afford it i will get someone else to remove the IM and change it
