I have been wondering about an ECU upgrade for my '98 GLE for awhile. I didn't want to be the schmuck to post the question for what is probably the billionth time, but I'm still wondering... so...

Is there an ECU upgrade compatible with the '98 and what are its stats? I don't have the dough for a SC, but on a fuel-injected V6 3-litre engine, I can imagine that a chip would give it a nice lift.

P.S.: While I'm on the pedestal, Nissan makes some of the sweetest engines around - why can't they make 'em VTEC?

 

I have a 97 max and ive only been able to find chips for earlier max's ive been wondering the same thing about mine. I dont have 4000 to put a SC in.
