I am very mad. I was racing a acura legend with regular bolt on mods and that damn clutch is acting up. Everytime I get to 3,000 rpms my car doesnt acelerates until it goes up till 3,500 rpms and then it takes off but it keeps doing until I am past 4,500 rpms. I still beat it but damn it was close. If anybody has a clutch for sale let me know.

A good test for a slipping clutch is to travel on a level road at 50 mph in 5th gear. Floor the gas pedal. If the engine rpm increases quickly but the vehicle speed does not, you have a slipping clutch. The sensation is similar to spinning your wheels on an icy roadway.

The behavior you describe sounds like a flat spot in the acceleration curve. This is an engine problem, not a clutch problem.

The thing is that it doesnt happen in any other gear but 4th and 5th gear. I can go all the way up to 4th with no problem. I think I better take it to nissan I still have 7k miles covered under warranty now all I have to worry about is taking off my mods.
