Akebono Brake Pads - Any good?

Hey anybody tried Akebono ceramic brake pads? If so, what did you think of them?

I currently have Axxis Ulitmates which I like but they chew up my rotors a bit too fast. I think I might go for some Hawks HPS next. But, I wanted to know if the Akebono pads are any good.

They are decent. They are OEM pads for many cars from the factory.

I have read great reviews for the akebono pads. Check out Tirerack.com for reviews on the pad.

I installed them on my 99se 4 years ago. They still have 1/3 of the pad left. Great Pad.

I put Akebono ceramic pads on the front of my '97 last year. They replaced a set I got from the local Nissan dealer. What an improvement in the stopping power and control! Also, my wheels are a lot cleaner now.
