Tweeter Question

ok i hooked up my tweeters to the frotn speakers in my car like i was told to do so by some ppl from the board and i coulndt hear them at all just barley...i messed with the setting on my cd player for atleast 20 min to try to get them to work and i had no luck at all.......supposedly the tweeter have an "already built in crossover" but i dont know...then today i ha da friend come over to help me wire the tweeters to an amp to see if there was anyway i could make them more powerful......i had no lck with that either so can anyone tell me what the cheapest.easiest way would be to hook up my tweeters would be to get them to work right....i hav a ton of bass but cant hear any lyrics litterally..... 95 max pioneer tweeters and deck thanx

Well, this belongs in the Audio forum, but I'll give it a shot. How do you have them connected. Have you confirmed they are not wired out of phase? (+connected to -, instead of + to +)

yeas they are wired + - any more questions

SO the + wire on the tweeter is connected to the - on the woofer? If so, that's backwards. it needs to be + on the tweeter to + on the woofer. If you don't the tweeter will be wired out of phase and can cut the output level of the tweeter.
