I just bought a set of Tein Basic Coilovers from a fellow org member and was wondering while I am at it, what else should I replace?

I have 175,000 miles, I am not sure how many miles are on the stock suspension components but I'm pretty sure they are very worn out. I figure since I am down there...might as well replace a couple of things.

So let me know what u guys think...I'll admit that when it comes to suspension...I am pretty lost.

Strut bearings for sure.

What all is included in the Tein kit? What OEM parts are reused? Mounts (as long as they show no signs of rust, wear, or fatigue) should be fine. Anything rubber SHOULD be considered for replacement, if it is re-used.

you should replace alot of the oem parts that are rubber lick bushings and **** like that just so there is no noise or squeeking also there cheap

so i should replace anything rubber that is reused? like what?

and for bushings...which ones should i replace? where do I buy some good ones?

If you buy new ones, buy OEM from Dave B.

EDIT- all that I would really replace would be strut bearings in the front. Go OEM from Dave.

also I am thinking I should also replace my front control arm and front sway bar bushings with Energy Suspension ones and replace my worn tie rods. What do u guys think? anyone have experience with ES bushings?

The previous owner replaced all bushings, bearings, strut mount and the thin "paper" gasket with new OEM Nissan parts just two years ago. They should have plenty of life left in them. I wouldn't think you would need to replace that stuff so frequently. The top mounts should spin without much effort. Just tryin' to save you a buck or two.

I've heard that replacing the LCAs might be a good idea, although I'm really not sure how much play can actually be in a solid metal part... and it won't exactly be easy. If they made forged aluminum LCAs I'd jump at 'em...

Def get ES bushings. I have the control arm bushing and felt a huge difference after install. Once i change up my suspension in the summer i'll change all the bushing to ES. Cattman is selling every bushing ES makes for our car and fairly cheap. Check out the GD section.

how do i know if i need to replace them?

if you slam you car, you'll hear horse galloping threw your dashboard on turns and usually going straight. most likely from the front right wheel area

Knowing this, I would not do anything to them except set the height and bolt them in.
