Radio Buttons Falling off

Is there anyway to glue these back on so they will still work? The radio is starting to look like a carved pumpkin, also I need the 2 button for the 97 bose radio, thanks

Oof, I had the same problem. My 2 and 6 are gone, and I don't think you can get replacements. I've tried glue, but it was hopeless. The buttons work by pressing in with a long, thin plastic rod. It goes in a thin well, maybe 1/2" to press on the actual button. After those rods snapped off, it was hopeless.

Hah, I was thinking of crafting some new poking mechanism to reach into the well. Maybe a toothpick and duct tape. Yes!

Get a new headunit...the 99 is best looking IMO. However, that is if you want to spend $100+ for a fixed #2 button.

I have many buttrons falling off from mine. The volume control on the radio doesnt work neither. I cant turn it up or down and if it does work it ends up being too loud or too low and you cant turn it back down if its too loud. Some of the lights on the climate control are out too. The car is 10 years old now so its fine.

Buy an old one off ebay for cheap and replace the whole face. I did that when my original one started dropping buttons.

LOL - I almost spit my drink out when I read the comment about it looking like a carved pumpkin!!! LOL!!!! My '98 button #2 is faded, but that is it. I have noticed that when it's cold, the volume does NOT want to work... I have to turn it REAL slow, then I can change it X-)

Now we're talking! My button 6 (track advance) button fell off and was lost a long time ago. When button 5 started coming loose, and finally falling off when I was pressing it as it stuck to my finger when I hit a pothole , I moved it over to the 6 position- after 2-3 years of having to hit track rewind 9 times to go FORWARD one song on a 10-song CD, I'm back in the game, baby! Just have to check the floor after those potholes.
Glad to hear I wasn't missing out on some hidden source where we could order replacement friggin' radio buttons.
