HELP! so last night I forgot to turn off the heated seats and woke up this morning to a dead redtop that I recently installed. My question is, where is the best place to rewire the postive lead of the seats to so I won't have this problem again? I have a lot tagged off the cigarette lighter already and want to know of alternate locations, any help would be appreciated

Take the keys out of the ignition when you aren't driving the car. Theres youre solution.

keys were out, The 97 max was NOT wired so that when the ignition is off/key out, the seats are turned off as well. They stay on, draining the battery.

Ouch....that really sucks. The heated seats in my 99 go off when you turn the car off. Maybe try tagging it to the radio, as it will go off when the keys are out of the ignition. Don't take my word for it tho cause I have no idea when it comes to electrical systems in cars. Just a thought.

use a relay and hook the relay turn on wire to some ACC wire like the cig lighter. car off = open relay and heated seats cant be on regardless of switch position.
