What catback exhaust do you have?
#2
So far, stock catback FTMFW! I haven't been able to find an aftermarket muffler tha sounds the way I want, they all sound to raspy and not deep enough, especially now that I have the CE y-pipe. If I was to get one, it would probably have to be either the SP2 or the Cattman- but I would definatley have atleast 2 resonators in there somewhere...

I got the cattman cat-back. It turned out to be way deeper than I thought it would be. The one thing I like about it is that there is no rasp at all. But my headers come in tomorrow so the sound should change dramatically.

Budget B pipe and rusty stock muffler.
My Budget Y and B has a *lub lub lub lub lub* sound thru the muffler @ idle. Other than that, its a very quiet ride. I enjoy driving around a lot more than I did when I had my Greddy SP on.

I don't know, I just wanted something a little louder/deeper/freeerflowin than stock w/ NO rasp watsoever, and right now with all stock exhaust and just a CE y-pipe, it sounds kinda weird when idling and comming off the throttle w/o shifting(i.e decelerating)
Oh, and that Megan Racing exhaust sounded ok also

custom:
+2.5 SS Budget Y (downpipe off my shortie headers)
+2.5 Stock Cat
+2.5 In/Outlet Turbo Type 2 Resonator
+2.5 Custom B from Lou's Custom Exhaust
+2.5 SS Polished Magnaflow Muffler
better w/o the resonator but it helped tone it down a good deal...loved the sound.

-2.5" piping
-Thrush perforated core resonator (28")
-Borla Pro XS muffler
-Warpspeed y-pipe
-Stock manifolds and cat
I have yet to find a setup that sounds as good as mine. It is the absolute epitome of anti-rice, and the only cat-back I have ever heard that didn't have at least some rice to it. I spent a lot of time on research to get it right the first time.

You COULD listen to them to get a general idea, though. Mine is still deeper/throatier than theirs yet. Even then, their sound clips do not do the muffler justice, it truly sounds 10x better in person.

I have a budget B/stock cat/dynomax superturbo(deeeeeep but i want louder).

I made a boo-boo! I voted that I had a Warpspeed catback, which is incorrect. I have a Warpspeed Y-pipe and Greddy SP2 catback, running stock manifolds and rear cat. I like it a lot! Throaty and not TOO loud. Growl without the obnoxiousness..

What I would like to see if there was a way that every 4th gen owner could just start a NEW thread listing their exhaust type. After we have whored up 5-6 pages, we could go on to intakes, then tires, then rims, then drops...
I mean, the opportunities are endless...

Stock headers, stock ypipe, stock b pipe, stock cat, stock piping and stock muffler. Sounds great with the stock intake, stock midpipe and USIM, and it's really cool when it falls flat on its face after 5k.
