Last night I saw an Audi A4 (or S4) no badges. The plate was NY and said 1.8 Turbo (Yes that was the license plate). It has a pillar gauge and seemed to be pretty much stock otherwise. It was stick, however. A girl was driving and we were at a light. It turned green and she took off. I stayed at the light a few seconds and then took off after her. I didn't think she wanted to race or anything and I was busy talking to my Girlfriend. Anyway, I caught up to her and was doing about 80 when the light turn red. This time I knew it was on. She was rev. her engine, and I am sitting waiting patiently. (I have an auto). Well, a good 2 seconds before the light turns green, an old civic makes a left hand turn and ends up in my lane. The light turns green and she bolts again. And yet again I sit there. If I slammed on the gas I would have hit the civic. I was soo ****ed off..so my question for you guys is did Audi make a 1.8 Turbo and is it an S4 or a modded A4. I never caught up to her again, traffic, but I kinda wanted to see how I'd fare. Ohh, well, next time.

Audi A4 comes with two engine choices. 2.8 V6 and 1.8 Turbo. 1.8 Turbo will have 150HP in earlier models and 170HP in latest models. It can only do about 8 sec 0-60mph unless it has an upgraded ECU chip wich would make the turbo spin faster and produce 200HP.
My guess is whith a chipped 1.8 Turbo you should be about even in your auto, if you have a good take-off.
Audi S4 is in the same class as BMW M3. It's got 250HP Twin Turbo which can also be upgraded with a chip to produce 320HP.
