LED Guru's I need help w/ LED tails

I'm interested in making LED tails. i have read numerous article on how to do the math for the voltage, etc. I pretty much have it down. However, I would like to know what do i use or how do i wire it so that I can make the LEDs brighten up when i hit the brakes. My plan is to have 5 rows or 10mm LEDS. I want them all to to stay on constantly with the parking lights and when i hit the brakes they get brighter. What do i need to do for this to happen? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanx

DO NOT USE 10mm leds... ONLY use superflux LEDS from futureelectronics.com.... truse me u dont wanna be redoing it like i did.. to make it look decent ull need about 250 LEDs...

i don't see how you say its simple. you had to use something to mount them in. then get them all wired to light up right. nuts. just nuts!

I seen f550maranello2's taillights and they are amazing, maybe even better than kelvo's but I have to see it side by side to say that.

So how much did you pay total for those superflux?

www.lsdiodes.com

^-that is also another great site for getting cheap LED's. They have superflux too.
As a side note: they have THC3 LED's with a higher candela (brightness) than the superflux LED's.

I've been interested in doing this for years. Never have gotten around to it because the wiring seems too much of a pain in the a$$. Always thought the could just be linked together and thats it. Have not read up recently so I dont know how the process is even done now. What are going to use to control the current? How much are you putting through the LEDs?

I think you mean http://www.lumiledsfuture.com/products/

But they look great. I was thinking of doing some 3-row dual brightness LED tails after I got some projectors. I dunno though... pretty sexpensive.

Yeah now reading those numbers I dont remember how the math is done at all. It would be real nice to do this over the summer but I don't have the knowledge. I wish they could just be wired together and so be it. How do you control the current?
