Who had to change O2 sensors from getting a Y-pipe?
It just came to my attention that in the process of changing your Y-Pipe you can easily damage the sensors because they are so old. Has anyone come into this problem and how likely is it that I will need 02 sensors as a result. I have a 99' with 100k on the clock.

I'd wait to change them. Be careful when you do the Y-pipe, get the correct tools for taking the O2's out since there isn't much room with the stock y.
No reason to change something that is working correct. Besides, when they do go out, it's really easy to change them with the aftermarket y, tons of room.

that is not true, the o2 sensors aren't fragile parts, but if your rough enough you can damage the part(s).
Either take out the o2 and take off your y-pipe, or if its too trouble some, just unplug the o2 sensors and make sure the cable isnt zip died down, then take off the y and take the o2s out when the y is off the car.
