Cold Air intake

Cold Air intake
Just wondering, what is the best kind of Cold Air intake for our car, as well as the best bang for the buck intake besides stock... I'm asking because I have a crappy hybrid one that the previous owner had installed, so I'm just wondering what are some good options for me to replace it with? I'll get some pics tonight for u guys to see... because honestly I don't know if this intake is good or not...

well the thing is, I'm not quite sure how good the intake I have is, since i'm not all that familiar with it, I don't know the brand or anything... so I'm going to post pictures tonight to see if anyone can recognize it... but as far as the best intake or best bang for the buck aftermarket intakes, I'm not quite sure which are the best, so any help is appreciated

I was surprised to see you post this question as well. I would expect you to know this stuff too. Anyways, name brand is ****. People for hundreds for Injen because its name brand and think its the best. I had a fight with somebody the other night because they said their Injen was better than a CAI....come on now. Anyways, anything you have that goes through the fender is considered the best. Remember its always the same, colder air is denser and makes more power. I'm going to have someone bend pipes for my intake because of the 00vi (can't get anything to fit correctly). I'll be using the stock midpipe as well because it's said to be better (going by Jsutter on this one). There is no name brand but will still be good.
I would say Monsterflow over AEM dryflow. AEM filters do have a great rating tho.

I think I saw it around the forums once, on a track maxima someone routed an intake where the headlight would be, so all the cold air flew straight in, looked like a great design although not street friendly

Here is an older pic of his engine bay, before the box surrounding the filter was put in, but you get the idea of what removing the headlight does.

ok first off your engine bay is dirty as all hell and second off, buy a cheap intake off of ebay because a pipe is a pipe, i bought my old short ram for 45 bucks with shipping. thats your best way to go.

how much do those run for?
and whats a CAI?
and yes I know my engine bay is dirty as sin, but its not like I have a lot of chances to clean it out. not even sure how to clean it out because most of it is rust and I don't want to make it worse

My apologizes, i thought PR meant something else. Sorry guys, didn't mean to offend anyone that's y i didn't spell out what I thought it was. I have been corrected and for future knowledge will keep this retained in my memory banks.
