Stalling problem

I have been having a problem with stalling out when I switch to reverse. It doesnt happen a lot but every now and then when i switch to reverse my car just shuts off. Or after i back up it stalls out and i have to put it in park and restart my car. I replaced the IACV and it seemed to fix the problem but it started to happen again. Could it be the transmission starting to go or something? I have 140k on original trans. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks

why did you replace the IAC Valve? Happen only when hot? Where does it idle? how does it feel while accelerating? any CEL?

Because a clogged/faulty iacv could cause the problem so i just replaced it and for a while it did work but now its happening again. Happens any time any temp. Idles normal and accelerates fine with no cel. The car runs fine except when it stalls.. and then i restart it and its fine.

instead of buying a new IAC Valve, clean it and the TB and replace the PCV Valve. If the PCV is stuck open, it could allow too much oil into the intake causing it ot get dirty/clogged prematurely. Prob didnt have to replace it in the first place.

I must add that I doubt this is the source of the stalling (unless the IAC Valve has gotten very clogged again. But you never know.

dont go buying a new mass air flow sensor. It could be a bunch of different things. does it only happen when the car is warmed up? do the RPM's dip when you come to a stop?

No it happens anytime any temp. But when I do switch to reverse I can usually reverse some but then it just turns off. The rpms sometimes dip and it feels like somethings clogged because it like sputters and then dies. But other times it just drops to 0. But then once i restart the car it drives normal. If its the mass air flow sensor I would get the code for it right?

Sort of the same problem i'm having, maybe we can combine forces and fix this:

-coils - done
-plugs - done
-clean IACV - done
-clean TB - done
-MAF - New one with 2 miles on it when i bought the car
-knock sensor- done
-oil change - done
-new ECTS (engine control Temp sensor)

Edit : -New pcv valve and tubing.

to do:replace O2's

But mine happens all the time, then when it feels like it it works fine-- like this afternoon on my way home.

Wow i hope that once i clean the tb and get a new pcv valve the problem goes away. When I was getting an oil change at meineke a guy who had a '99 maxima said he kept stalling when he came to red lights and it turned out to be an 02 sensor, but my problems different and only happens when im in reverse.
