As far as I can tell it was a 99 crimson blaze SE fully loaded. with 90K. lol.. i even took it around the yard for a little bit. I don't know much about the car because i was rushing to take the best possible pics and test drive
So here you go:

How much did it end up selling for? Was it one of those Repo auctions?

I don't know how much it sold for.. no it's not a repo auction. By the pics can any turbo guys figure out what kind of setup he had. It also had 3" turbo back and several gauges.

I wonder what that thing is worth ? It said JDM engine was installed as well

Um... a JDM engine.... yeah. Unless it was somehow a VQ30DET I don't think a JDM VQ30 would make much of a difference.

It's a PFI kit. Car had MEVI on it too, I bet that is what they meant when they said JDM engine.

MEVI = Middle Eastern VI. I think most places, not including the middle east, got the "USIM."

They got MEVIs in lots of places besides the middle east. We just first learned about the MEVI from a guy in the middle east and that became the name of it before we knew it came from other places too.

I would've bought that thing so fast and transplanted most of the better parts onto my '98 and made one hell of a car.

That thing must've had a cracked block or the person needed cash really fast in order to be selling it at an auction. I really like that color.

I was just about to mention I believe I know who owned that car. got a few parts from him quite a while back. Didn't know he was getting rid of it. Hadn't seen him on the org lately though.

Noooooooo

NOOOOOOOOOO, say it aint so!! Brooklyn's red beast is gone. This goes to show. There are people who don't even come online often who have turbo'd VQ35s, ran 11s, even swapped in VQ30DET engines in their cars and just go unrecognized. This red maxima has been like this for years. It will be missed in Brooklyn.

How on earth did that car end up at auction? There was obviously a great deal of time put into it. More importantly, a great deal of $$$. I can't fathom how that car would be traded in like that, when a lot more money could have been gained through private sale; or if not that, at least a great deal of money could have been had by parting it out and then trading it in. Someone got a raw deal on this...

Nice car. Don't much care for the rims, but it's a nice car.

Actually at one time there were cam gears for the VQ30 but this was a long time ago. They were purchased I believe from Stillen.

Seriously, I know it's none of my business but I'd love to find out how that ended up at an auction fully modded like that. Makes me wish I went to the auctions more often too, there's never anything that good when I go.

yea dude that thing was absolutley sexy, and the rims meshed together well with the car too. im dont know if im right but i looked like a T3 TO4E turbo setup, it looks like one and thats also the most common turbo to go with when boosting a VQ. nice car though... damn.

must have been hard to let it go if he took these kind of measures to sell it...
