Just to stay on topic, watch out with those blacked out bumper lights. I had the same ones for about a month before the driver's side filled up with water. You might want to hit the seams with some extra silicone sealant or something.

The car itself looks pretty damn good, but i've never been a fan of putting other nissans rims on maximas... whatever works for you tho.

Its not that I like the streached look, thats just how it came out. I figured since the rims are 8" wide and 225mm is about 8" it would come out even but it didn't. my bad, but the next set will look a lot better.

and about the blinkers, i drilled holes in them to keep them from collecting water and condensation

And I'm kind of feeling a four inch drop...

good, hehe, something like this?

Also, here is a picture of a 235 tire on an 8" wide wheel. You said you would go 245 next, I think 235's are a perfect fit for 8" rims.

Looks good man.
I think the main reason people say this is so that people that have pressing issues with their 4th gens can get their questions answered and not get bumped off the first page by 14 members with picture threads.

Ya, theres a reason why the members ride section was created, and that 4th gen picture thread.

do you rub?

I picked up a set of the same wheels as you, but im going to go with 235/40/18 and im lowered on s-tech with tokico blues, do you think i will have rubbing issues?

Do you have any issues with rubbing?

Any one with insight on this?

Thank you in advance,

Dan.

nope, no rubbing. there is plenty of room, i haven't even bottomed out, of course i only have two inches drop.

235s is probably what i'll go with next. 245 would most likely rub however.

Looks nice, not a fan of how the Z's fronts look stretched. Throw some 235 or 245's on there and it will look a lot better.

Nice clean car man, keep up the good work!!

fenders rolled?

are your fenders rolled?, cause im really confused, i have the same rims, with 235/40/18's. I just went to the shop to test fit one of them in the front, and the rim and tire stick out a lot. This is the only pic i have with a camera phone, sorry for the bad quality.

im sure i will rub, what is wrong with my car?, am i an outkast?

any help is appreciated,

thanks.

my car is a 99 es ( canadian ) if that makes any difference.

thanks again.

Dan

its cause its canadian...
mine stick out too, the fronts more than the back. i was going to put 1/4" spacers on the back to compensate.

the only problem with the 17s is you're only getting 1" extra... your ride looks pretty hot, but i'm liking my 18s. i DO need to lower it more.

The rear is 20mm shorter than the front, so two 10mm plates on each side on the rear would make it even to the front.

Is the bumper on that stock. for the 97?...

the 95/96 stock bumper is a little boring. but no point in making a max into a ricer, i love keeping those things sleeping

If you look in the classified section I'm looking to trade them for a set of 17s.

Looks Nice & Tight...Are your wheels staggered? I believe the fronts are 225/50 17x7 & rears are 235/50 17x8 (originally). I have the other style wheels from a 2003 350Z and noticed that my fronts stick out the fender maybe 5mm (making it not flush, did you have a machinist shave the offset?). But the rears are perfect. please respond need help.

Well, if you're asking about mine, those are 18s. They're both 18x8. The offset is 30 on the front and rears. The rear axle is not as wide as the front "axle", thats why they're not flush. You can space the rears to match the front. I actually just traded a guy for the seven spoke 17s today. Pics in a few minutes.
