High pitch squealing in reverse

It started happening a couple weeks ago. I did my back brakes (just the pads) about 3 months ago) and I know for a fact my suspension is getting worn out. Does anyone have an idea about why she may be squealing in reverse only?

thanks in advance.

Yes, cars make noises in reverse. The point of this post is that this is not the ordinary noise that cars make. It is a high pitch squealing that sounds like metal scraping metal.

I had that too, it almost sounded like a record player needle skating across a record, but the pitch was higher. It went away after I changed my rear pads and rotors.

It does sound like the brake pads but I just changed them a few months ago.
And I'm not sure why the pads/rotors would make the sound only in reverse.

I would check the front and rear brakes. It could be the dust sheild.
