Installed H&R and Struts Question
#1
Install my H&R spring and Tokico Struts love the way the car handles now but There is this noise every time I turn all the way to the right or left. I called the shop, told them about the noise, and was told that it is normal because the springs are turning with the wheel. OK is this true or BS it sounds bad! If it is true is there anything I can do to get rid of the noise. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Did a search but could not find anything, Thanks

Sounds resonable. Do you know if the shop installed the rubber sleves on each end of the spring? If not, I would imagine that squeaking noise when you turn the wheel all the way would be pretty bad.

suggestion
Mine did that for about a week...tops. I decided to let it 'settle' a bit and it went away on it's own. If not, you might try the strut bearings on the front. Although this doesn't 'sound' the same as what you described.
Let it settle for a week or two and then go back to them.

The cups (seats) that the top of the spring sits on may not be installed correctly. When I installed mine I didn't orient them in the proper way and they creaked really bad when turning at slow speeds. SY showed me the notch on these seats that must face in a certain direction (can't remember if it is in or out) or it won't fit right, causing creaking and a slightly harsher ride. It was a somewhat easy fix for me, just jacked up the car, took wheels off, unscrewed the bolt from the top of the shock piston (located in the center of the strut mount in the engine bay) and was able to rotate the cups to the right position. Put everything back on and no more creaking.
