Screw missing on ecu, cant pull codes

I bought a Maxima a while back, and the screw on the side of the ecu to run the diagnostics on is gone. Not sure how that came out, but is there any way to fix it aside from using an obdII scanner (already have one) I just like things to be working properly. This is probably not something fixable, but I am hoping it is.

new ECU. Buy a scantool from Ebay. take apart your ECU and see if you can put it back together. as for the one that spins freely, you can prob feel the stops if you turn it gently.

99's screw is there. It is a TINY white phillips head screw; look inside the hole with a flashlight. BE VERY CAREFULL using it.

Is it there? I used a small screw driver but I'll try again tomorrow. My other max's have been 95's and you cant miss that one.
