Sup guys,

My car was hit this morning and the outer tail light was completely smashed out. The problem is that my tail lights are tinted and I just cant get a replacement piece from Nissan. I have my stock tail lights at home but one of the outer lenses is cracked so I need new ones anyways. I planning on using my stock inners and buying outers from ebay. Has anyone had experience with these? Thoughts and opinions are welcomed! Will I pass inspection with these tail lights?

i purchased a smoked out pair of tails i forget which com. but they fit terrible i had to shave down part of the plastic near the mounting bolts in order to get the lamps to fit flush with the trunk. also the bulbs sockets didnt fit in the twist slot in the lamp assemly to well. they were cheap and i got what i payed for. after some adjustments to them they fit perfect. So in short you may or may not experience a good fit.

I bought that same one, from the same seller. Drivers side sits flush, but the passenger side doesn't. Not sure why, but probably I didn't get one side all the way in. It's in enough though, not horribly noticable. Plugs and sockets twisted in with no problems. Another thing is that they didn't ship the two small red lights with my order. I called them up, and said they would ship it...it's been a month and haven't received anything. I'll try calling them again later. (it's not THAT important to me...it's just that one of the stock bulbs is burned out)

I would purchase some red led 168 bulbs to replace those red bulbs that they come with. The red glass tends to go pink after a while and looks gross. IMHO.

Can you post pics of the lights on your car, please? Also, I noticed that the inside reflector on the edge is white instead of red. Does it shine white as a result, instead of red light on stock lights with a red reflector?

And yes, the third reflector on the edge is white. The stock bulb there is white, not red, so it does shine white as a result. IIRC, on the stock tail, it's a red reflector there.
That's why the seller has the 2 red light bulbs shown in the picture...you're supposed to receive them with the purchase. (CSR said so). Anyway, a red led there would be nice.

Sounds good! Pleae take some close-ups, I want to see whether the pieces look like they are part of the same set or if there is a noticeable difference.

Are you satisfied with the product, or would you say that it will be better to go back to stock and do the Red/Clears yourself in the future? If its not too much, can you take a better picture from up close? Is there a discernible difference b/w the inner and outer tails, can you tell they are two different products?

Huh?
I'm very satisfied. I did do it myself. I like the clear look on the white max. Anyway, wouldn't want to go back to stock, nor can I cuz I cracked the top of the lens on both sides when I took them off (-.-)

What other kinds of pictures do you want?

First you said that you bought the red/clears off ebay, now you say you made them yourself...Im lost. Assuming you got the outers off ebay, can you post a pic of a closeup of the inner and outer pieces together. I want to see how they look in relation to each other, whether they match up well.

This is what I'm talking about it not being flushed...I guess it's actually not that bad at all. But it bothers me...doesn't sit as flush as the drivers side.


Oh yeah, and the purchase also comes with the weather strip thing, so I'm not worried about any water or anything getting in. (If it didn't come with it, I wouldn't have known about it)

Buy from seller motorblvd on ebay. I got mine from him and they're a PERFECT fit. They look exactly like the ones pictured above and come with the weather stripping.
