00VI, 4th gen TB w/ stock intake- anyone?
In the final stages of polishing off the 00VI installallation- lo and behold- the TB (4th gen) doesn't line up with the accordion that connects it to the intake:

Stock intake, so what I'll probably do is just zipcord the filter to the top of the airbox and leave it disconnected to the bottom- I know some folks are alreayd doing this as an intake mod- might even just rip the bottom out- already running the ooglie/oscai/whatever-the-hell-its-called stock intake hack. This way, I'm free to position the airbox/MAF/etc. assembly however I need it.
Just wondering, anyone try and use some sort of flexible dryer vent or something else to connect the TB to the rest of the intake instead of doing the above? I'm guessing the angle is tight enough it wouldn't be great for airflow and the above is my only option.
Thanks all!

Yea, I had it installed on my car before. Its a temporary fix but you should look into getting an aftermarket intake. If you want to keep the stock resonator box your probably better off getting a 5th gen resonator since its smaller and will clear the ABS.

I'm just having a shop bend pipes for CAI. I don't like having flex tubing. tubes will go from tb curved into battery area for the resonator and maf, then down into wheel well. What is the size difference of 5th gen/4th gen resonators?

Can you trim the tube that goes to the IACV? I took a fem MMs off both sides of that tube to bring my intake path in a straight line. Can you physically get the factory mid-pipe to where you want it? I would work with that first and then see what can be shortened/lengthened to accomodate it's new position.
