It's not a max, the speedo is on the right.

Good point...anyway it says it fits all jap cars..
I think it would be nice to have a heads up in the maxima

tedo007 - Not hard, but I drove the 240sx with one and just like how it looks at night cruzing the highway

That couldn't be a nissan logo in the steering wheel. Def a BMW.

Not the same kind of HUD, though.

If I had a HUD, I'd want a traditional one projected onto the windshield and displaying MPH. What good does it do to have your RPMs digitally right in front of your face all the time unless it's a car that sees a lot of track time? At least MPH would be useful (not having to look down and easier to keep a constant speed).

looks like an accord to me....But thats pretty cheap for a HUD display and shift light. I might get one....but then i'm auto...so how useful would it be for me????

I will say this though...Ive ordered a bunch of stuff from that guy, some from his ebay store some straight from his website ans everything has been cool. Quick with the tracking numbers and good stuff so far. His Red/Clears fit perfectly too.

Tatanko - it is not just RPM's, it says... "RPM/SPEED" and it is the same.. it displays on the windshield like the 240sx

you can switch it over to do MPH also... that's why i want it, so i can have the MPH in the windshield... if it was just RPM's it would be pointless to me being that im an auto..

anyway, just wanted to know if anyone ever hooked one up / knew anything about them

I had a factory HUD in my 1990 Max GXE. Was nice, flashed speed up on a reflective panel on the lower left of my windsheld. Seems to have been part of a digital speedo package. Only drawback was when I had my windsheld replaced because of a crack, the new one was $2400 because of that panel (thanks insurance). I don't miss it that much in my 97 manual.

For the "Heads up display" to "project" onto your windshield you need a special type of reflector. I use to have a Grand Prix GTP when I crashed it the dealership told me it was $500 bucks for just the windshield becuase of the HUD. Just normal glass doesn't reflect that well and to me it seems like that set up would only work at night.

Something I read on I think Craig braces page about putting hud into a 3rd gen is you could use a small rectangle of tint to do about the same thing. More noticeable but could be worth it and easily reverse able.

Am I the only one that sees a nissan logo in the steering wheel?
