Out with the old 95(auto) in with the new 96(5spd)

Well technically its not new... but I lost my original 95 pearl white auto in a flash flood, and the insurance, claimed it a total loss... I dont blame them... this is what they saw inside:

Ok stripped interior (was in the process of do a complete tear down of the car, and detail the crap out of everything; carpet, panels, seats, etc... ) but then it rained... ok imagine that with pools of water on the floor... that will give you an idea of what they saw...

Well anyhow... after I returned my rental (pontiac G6, it wasnt all that great) I went in search of a new car... and set my eyes on this... Turns out my girl friend got me the car as a surprise... as I raised some funds to get it.... so here it is..

and this is what I got...

the car has a few dings and scratches... but I dont plan whatso ever on fixing them right now... I got some small issues that need to be addressed; radiator leak, and a clacking sound.... but once fixed... I will be doing a full exhaust setup... intake... flywheel, suspension setup, and interior work.. I plan to keep the car stock (sleeper) exterior wise for now.. until I have everything setup inside and motor wise... then I'll work on the outside...

For sure thou.. I'll be swapping the gold burgers for silver and I'll be shaving the "MAXIMA" off....no clear corners(i take it back.. I add the clear corners I had around), no red/clears.. for now. I'll just be gathering everything up one by one.. until i have it all, and just like that. over night it will be a totally new car...

Nice upgrade! If that's peeling tint on the rear window, removing it should be your first priority. Otherwise it looks like a great ride.

Thanks... i would do the 97 grille, but I'm really feeling the whole 95-96 grill with 97 bumper... i think its looks soo much better IMO.

just so you can see what i'm talking about

I know your not into the exterior mods, but your car seems like a perfect candidate for a 97-99 bumper and trunk swap. Would just finish the car off looking stock and much nicer.

oh definately on the 97 conversion...i agree to that... it does make the car look newer...as far as the trunk... ummmm... if I could find a local junkyard with a mint condition, rear trunk with spoiler... i'd do it... why not... 97's have better tail light options than 95 and 96's.
