check engine light question??

check engine light question??

so my check engine light stays on and everytime I check to see what it is the readers (used multiple) say no codes. before I hooked up my o2 simulator it was my 3rd o2 sensor I hooked up the sim and now I get no codes but the light stays on. does anyone know what could be worng??

I think when you're using an obd2 reader the error code will only show up when the error is there and the error has to be gone for a reasonable amount of time before the light actually turns off. I have an obd2 reader sometimes when I check it, it will say no codes and other times it will show them even though the light is always on. The screw driver method has always worked for me regardless. Try resetting it and see if the code comes back.
