Oil Pressure Switch question.

While a friend and I were working on my car, he noticed that I do not have an oil pressure switch. The connector is broken off and the wires are snipped. I have a DE-K motor and it was put in by two reputable members here. My friend said that my car should not be running without it and he's surprised that my motor hasn't blown yet. So I'm just making sure that I should go get one from Nissan. Any help will be appreciated.

You just won't know if you lose oil pressure, no light. Assuming you actually have oil in there, the probability of your oil pump failing or something major happening before you install the new switch is very slim.

Vice grips worked for me when I did the fuel tap for my turbo. If you get the 23mm socket, get the 12point deep socket. It's ideal for that.

Even more of a reason to get that sensor fixed dude. The supercharger, i'm sure has an oil feed/return, as well as the motor so you need to know what's going on with the oil pressure. Welcome to boost by the way, it's funny how when you're boosted, the first place you check is the turbo/supercharger because it costs more than your whole engine, LOL. "Sir you have a blown motor -YES! That means its not the turbo! LOL" . Get that fixed up, it shouldn't be easy if the stock harness is there. Just some splicing and electrical tape.
