Torque Sensor?

I was at sts getting a new battery and I told the guy how that sometimes when i switch to reverse in any temp my car stalls out. He said it could be the torque sensor. I didnt want to spend another $90 on a diagnostic today though so I was just wondering if it could be that? And if so what it would cost. Thanks

I think this guy is just tryin to shaft you, dont buy into it, with a 96 you'e likely to be dealing with carbon deposit issues in your intake system. Clean your IACV and get a more honest mechanic.

1. Check/Replace your ECTS (Engine temp coolant sensor)
2. Clean you TB

All that black crap affects your idle (my RPM dropped about 3-400rpm)
