Hey everyone-
been looking at this site everyday since I got my 98 max gle-
first time I am posting-
ok-I have the Bose system, various cd's have been skipping lately from time to time- The cd's are in good shape so something is going on with the cd player- Does anyone have this problem? SHould I try to find a cd player cleaner?
any help would be great
thanks

The laser could get misaligned over time, although I don't know if this would be a gradual skipping-more-CDs-over-time problem. If I end up getting a Maxi, one of my first moves will probably be to replace the stock deck with an aftermarket head unit. I'm more of a stereo nut and like things like high-volt preouts and other expansive features of aftermarket decks.

I didn't know playing burned CD's would mess up the laser. That's good information to know. CarStereoHelp.com does factory radio repairs. Also, CdPlayerRepair.com and DavesCoolStuff.com specializes in Bose repair for Nissan and Infiniti. Sorry, but the price tag looks like it will be around $150 to repair. Good Luck.
