I've heard such awesome things about fstbs that i have to get one. i want to know if any are better than others, and websites with good deals. i know the stillen one is way overpriced, but if anyone knows a good site with one ill get it. i am thinking about the one from www.procarparts.com - its like $35, and if its not any worse than the others, why not save the money.
thanks

I got mine from www.streetbeat.com about $46 shipped. And it works fine. I could really feel the difference.

I like my stillen fstb but you should buy a rsb first, then the fstb. I have put both on at different times and each time they were the only mod i put on that time. You will notice the rsb more than the fstb. I went with $tealin for both of them and got them from Phuong at www.EatRiceZone.com he has great prices and impecable customer service. I dont know if the Stillen ones are any better than the other ones but I'm building a show car and I want the name on my parts. I have the stereo(1/3 of a show car) and am working on the performance and looks(the other 2/3 of a show car).

RE: Stillen FSTB & RSB...

thanks

Courtesy

I don't know about how good ProCarParts or StreetBeat's FSTB's are so yes I would like to know the answer too, but according to the Maxima FAQ the Courtesy Nissan FSTB is just as good as the Stillen. It may not look as sporty, but performance wise it's just as good and looks OEM. It's listed for $79.95 on the site, but the info on the FAQ page says if you call Courtesy (1-800 527-1909) and ask for Steve Richardson and tell him Andi Baritchi sent you he'll give you a good deal. Probably somewhere around $65 I would think. Maybe it's worth spending $30 more dollars for a proven piece of equipment. That's the one I'm intending to buy anyhow. If you find out anything different like how good the other two are, let us know.

I picked up the Courtesy one for $65 and I love it! I figured I'd be better off with a middle cost piece and one that many others have tried and report as working just as well as the Stillen one that costs way too much in my book.

If you want to see a pic of it installed, click on the link below the pics. I also have the Addco RSB and they both make a MAJOR handling difference. Flattens the car out nicely. If you weren't getting anything else, I would highly recommend the FTSB and RSB as your only mods because handling is very important. More important to me than my 1/4 mile time.

F.S.T.B. Pricing...

Here are some of the prices I can get on these F.S.T.B.s:
  • Team Stillen: $174.00
  • Courtesy Nissan: $79.95
  • Matrix Motorsports: $48.00 (including shipping)
  • Street Beat: $34.95
  • ProCarParts.com: $34.95

*Don't forget my car is a 1996; the 1999 model has a different bar from the 1996-1998.*

**Note: All of these prices do not include shipping (exception: Matrix).**

If anyone knows a place that can beat these prices, please post them here, eMail me, or send me a private message. I am looking at buying either the Courtesy Nissan or Street Beat bar, but wouldn't mind shelling out the extra cash if I could get a better deal on the Stillen.
Thanks,
Cyrus

I cannot comment on if the Stillen one is better or not since I have not tried each one. I like the looks(and name) of the Stillen one. I DO NOT believe that there is a major diference in performance if there is one at all.

i was about to order mine from there but i cancelled my order, why? when i ordered, they did not have any in stock and i waited about a week without hearing anything from them. i then called and they said that they would get it in about a week or two, so i just cancelled.

i will buy from them later but i suggest you call and see if they have any in stock first. good luck
