which way should i go?

In about a week or so i'm gonna have about $500 to play around with for my max. i'm not sure which way i want to go, either performance or appearance. i already have rims, catback, custom intake, hid's, clear corners. im debating on either a y pipe, short shifter or lowering it. or do i want to go with clear headlights new taillights or possibly a lip kit.

with $500 cant you get both a y-pipe(budget) and a short shifter? thats what ide do. unless youre not installing them yourself...then ide go for the ypipe only.

how about maintenance ?

everyone seems to be putting that third, behind performance and appearance.

y-pipe, plus maintainance? I'm sure theres some things that need to be done, clean/replace EGR system (I know mine needs it), new plugs? new fuel filters, etc... screw appearance, it looks good as it is. it's dumb to drop your money into visual mods on a car that'a 12 years old. Go for what matters, whipping up on unsuspecting people in a car that IS 12 years old.

i have a greddy sp2 catback. i planned on doing both y pipe and short shifter if i go with them and yes i probably do need maintence as far as fuel filter, plugs, egr system. but i still think with gettin the y pipe and short shifter and installing them myself i should still have plenty to do my maintence. as long as were on the subject what are some reccomendations for good plugs?

I'd get some springs and maybe struts if you have enough.

Since you already have wheels, you pretty much need to lower it to eliminate the Pathfinder stance. The HID money would have been better spent on a y-pipe but it's your ride!

i would def do the maintence first. Having your car running prime is the best thing! Then the y-pipe, then save the rest for a good suspension

If it were me I'd lower it. I'm more into having fun in the corners than a straight line. STS is next on my list though.
