Front strut mount question?

I have a complete front strut mount assembly(both sides) for a 5th generation. Can it go on a 4th generation? It is just the mount assembly: insulator, spacer, bracket, bearing, spring seat and rubber seat.

This may sound elementary but have you tried just placing the mount on top of the strut tower? If the bolts line up it is just a matter of making sure the spring sits securly. Others will be able to chime in I am sure.

They are similar, but they will not interchange. The 5th gen front mount setup is the same as the 6th gen.
