FOB Remote - roll ALL windows down (and sunroof) -- is this possible?
I wanted to ask...has anybody ever seen somebody rig their FOB to open ALL windows (and possibly the sunroof) at once instead of just the front 2? I live in Florida and it's hot as hell year round...this would definitely be a nice feature to cool the car off a lot faster.
Heck, if nobody's ever done it I might look into it myself...has anybody seen this done already though? It would be a great mod.
Thanks,
Zach

Yeah, the other thing I was wondering (though this would be a lot more difficult)...if holding down the UNLOCK button while the car is off rolls the windows down, why can't the LOCK button be modified to roll the windows back up?
But that's a different discussion altogether...

Speaking of this, I was coming out of the store and I opened up my windows from the remote. At the same time theres an old lady getting out of her car and she thought she broke my windows. I love that feature, especially on such an old car.

Talk to F550Maranello2 then. He did it with his car, but he has an aftermarket alarm set up. It's pretty cool, he did it all himself so you can ask him.

With an aftermarket system, it taps into all the windows to roll up or down depending on lock or unlock. You can also buy modules for sunroofs too.
But with our cars, when you hit the lock button, there's nothing else triggered to make the windows roll up. I'm sure you could probably buy some parts to make your own aftermarket setup, but if you're going that far, you might as well just buy the whole aftermarket window module kit and get someone to wire it in for you.

If anybody who's done something like this can lend their expertise, please do!

This is insignificant but I have tried to roll down all my windows and open my sunroof at the same exact time and they all stop for about 10 seconds, as if it overloaded... Maybe it wouldn't be possible with the remote...

also...where is the relay at for this? it should be pretty simple to hook up an additional relay for the rear windows and moonroof.

i then decided to read up on the FOB in the owners manual. It specifically states in BOLD...cannot roll up windows with remote.

I do not believe it would be possible to retrofit and make the sunroof open. When I was looking into this I was gonna just run a power wire over to the sunroof that when the signal from the BCM to the widows it would also open the sunroof. The problem you run into is the sunroof runs backwards from the windows.
The Sunroof is a constant ground switch and it supplies the power, where the windows are constant Power and supplies ground.
