injector removal problem! Help!

Iv got the manifold off but when i take the injectors out, the engine starts filling with gas. I thought depressurizing the engine by pulling the fuel pump fuse prevented that but i guess not. Is there a fuel shut off valve somewhere? I want to try getting my injectors cleaned but cant have them out for more than a couple mins with the engine filling to the brim with gas. Any help is appreciated!

also, when i put the injectors back in, the gas recedes into the engine..where is it going? Is my car gonna blow up when I finally get it back together? thanks.

What he said. After it stalls once, try to start it again but don't let it crank more than 5 times, just 2 or 3 cranks and you know your good. Excessive cranking can cause problems
