so i was looking at the FSM on how to remove the drivers side axle and it says to remove the right one, then punch out the left.
the Haynes manual says you may be able to just pry out the drivers side, other wise you'll have to take out the right one then punch out the left.
what is everyones experience with taking out the drivers side axle with an A/T? did you have to take the right out first or not?
and do you really need to put a new seal in before putting the axle back in, as long as it is not damaged?

i was able to pull out the driver side first, then take out the passenger side. it took A LOT of pulling tho. I did not use a new seal, no leak after 30k...
well it sounds like there is hope for this getting done the easy way of just taking out the problem axle
