Factory alarm beep help!

Hi all, I followed the write in vqpower about installing a buzzer for beep sound when you lock the doors, it was working great but not loud enough, so I brought a horn trying to hook it up, however the horn doesn't sound, so I remove it, then something goes wrong: when I keylessly lock the doors the hazard light doesn't flash, there is a constant non-pulsing beep sound near the driver side fuse box. I checked both fuse boxes in the engine bay and driver side but don't see a blow. When I plug the hazard fuse out the beep stops but the hazard still won't flash, does any one know how to solve this? I think this is related to hazard lamp wire and body control module, please help thanks.

hmmm. sounds like you blew a fuse but you said you checked them all? how about the security fuse? I would replace it anyways.

I would take out all the new parts, relays, buzzer and everything. Staer from scratch with new parts but this time put the piezo buzzer through the trunk and mount it up in the rear bumper. Make sure its secure and doesn't get wet. Should be loud enough for ya.

You may have blown the flasher module.. Search "alarm beep" in 4th gen forums for more info on your flasher problem.

No need for all that stuff in the vq writeup anyway.. The RS buzzer from the writeup works great if you mount it outside the car.. There's a plug back there to run the wires out and mount the buzzer under the back bumper. (spare tire well drain plug maybe i can't remember).. Splice into the wires off the bcm relay back there. I don't remember the wiring off hand.. Hit the arm button on yer fob and check em with a multimeter. I think it was red-orange and black to one of the green/oranges or vice versa. Mount buzzer to the bumper Styrofoam and your good to go..

You need to make sure the fuses are not blown. Did you take each fuse out or what? You most have not gotten a good buzzer cause I can hear mine 20-25ft away from the car. What is this horn thing you installed? If the horn needs more power you probably blew fuses. They wouldn't just stop flashing. You probably wouldn't have blown the alarm box and you're blinkers do work correct? It has to be a fuse.

I checked each fuse in those two boxes, but none was blown. My turning and hazard light still works. does anyone know where the flasher module is located? I took everything I installed out but it still not flashing when I lock the car. btw, when would there be a constant non pulsing beep sound going on related to the hazard light? since when I take the hazard light fuse off it stops the beep.

If the buzzer keeps buzzing nonstop you wired it incorrectly. The box is in the trunk behind the carpet on the right side.

I checked the box on the right side of the trunk, they are all plugged in and hooked up, I haven't change anything but the bcm unit so they wouldn't be unplugged. Is the security fuse located together with other fuses? since I couldn't find a fuse says security. I definitely sure it's about the hazard circuit but don't know where it gets wrong...
