I think it's the lifters. I've heard the same noise in many (all I guess) other 4-gen maximas. Anyone have an idea what it actually is? Anything to worry about and any way to fix it?

 

The mechanic at Mossy Nissan here in Houston told me it's normal when I tried to explain it. (must be same prob as my air is always on). Mine is very faint. I really only hear it in my parking garage. He said that in his 12 years, he has tried several things to remedy the situation with no real success...

Do what I am doing. Cover it up with loud air intake and exhaust notes. :LAUGH:
