Removing my upper intake manifold. I can't find my egr guide tube to disconnect. Where the hell is it? Is it hidden from view, right under the iac?

it attaches right onto the upper intake manifold. Its on the right hand side next to the IACV. I think its a 12mm bolt. Also, if your removing the UIM make sure you have some needle nose plyers to take the clamps off the coolant hose.

it has two connections. one right next to the starter and the other is on the upper intake manifold on the back right. PM me your email address so i can send you a write up on how to remove it.

yea...i figured this out first hand as well when i removed intake and throttle body to clean both the TB and the tubes in EGR...i gave up on the EGR for now cuz i cant get my long *** frame n there to squeeze them bolts off that are hidden (of course)...i like when they hide stuff in cars...especially when its almost certain to fail

I don't even really know what an egr guide tube is. I know what an egr is, but not a guide tube. this is really pissing me off. I found something that kinda looks like it in the pic. It looks like it connects to the manifold and is located under the iac. But I can't find the bolts to unattach the bracket in the manual. I found something that looks like an electrical wire that connects an octagonal metal thing on the manifold on one end, and to an electrical plug connector on a tab by the iac on the other, that plugs into another plug. is that it?

to clean it you will have to remove a part that is right next to the egr guide tube it looks like a squiggly metal pipe it's about 8 inches long

Got the bolts, thanks to everyone. I don't need to remove it to clean, I just need it unattached to the manifold so i can get the damn manifold off. it seems rusted on pretty good... should I just pry it off? Do I need to disconnect some PCV tube... the haynes manual doesnt say anything about that? Come on... i know a bunch of you guys have done the mevi so you know how to remove an intake?
