besides 300zx...any other bigger brake conversion for Max?

Plain and simple after driving this car for a month- i dont like the brakes, dealer had new pads on good fluid levels and it still stops like doodoo.. im assuming the brakes they put on my Max are just not sufficient for a 3000lb+ car. anybody know where i can find a write up on this?? a website? mainly my question would be do new 350Z brakes convert over bcuz im eventually gettin same Z rims. if i cant find out here i'll just go bother some grease monkeys over @ Nissan ...thanks

J/Q45 calipers are used in some BBK's. You can search for Maxima big brake kits and find some that fit but they are quite expensive. Ksport also has a kit

Virtually any brake could be made to work with the proper brackets and lines...

But unless you are into racing or really really want the BBK "look" it sounds to me like you just need some pads that don't suck.

you can use Q45 calipers and 300ZX rotors which have to be milled down 2-3mm.

i've already checked on the ultra reliable brembo set...for all corners-$2500 for the site i was at....GOOD LAWD THATS A LOT OF MONEY!!! the thing is, i've got an auto and obviously i dont drive this car to race (just to get azz) so i just need something that is going to be bigger and less likely to pizz me off when im grinding on rotors prematurely. having rotors milled is not a big deal, im sure i can go to a machining shop and give someone $10 to do it.

yeah, i noticed that my front rotors had slight grooves in them which gave me the impression that either the previous owner was careless or that the car had continous brake issues and he traded it in. the dealer most likely threw some flea market quality pads on to sell it to me-a dumbass j/k.......

what size rims do you have? If you don't have 18's you won't fit any setups. Well that's not true. The 02 17's do fit some. Also not mentioned was the 6th gen brakes. They also will fit as a bbk.

BTW: Isn't this already in the stickies?

I like Brembro pads ... that is what I run and they work great. I want to upgrade to sloted and drilled rotors, but have other things to do first.

Good to know that you need larger rims to fit larger brakes, only makes sense. Cheers!
