Depends what you need it for. If you have a booming stereo and operate it with the engine off (like for shows), then an Optima Yellow Top might be a good choice.

However, if what you need is a good dependable battery to start your car every morning, then any premium battery would be fine. I hear Sears Diehards are good. I have one of those Nascar batteries by Exide. It's been great for the six months I've had it so far. No need to spend more for a battery you can't take advantage of (i.e. the deep cycles).

I must be the only person who has had bad experiences
with every Die Hard battery I have ever purchased. My
wife's old Corolla went through 3 of them, each a month
after full replacement value expired. My GMC truck had
their "Gold" series expire on it twice after approx. 14
months. I cannot recommend them at ALL!

I have the Optima Red Top. It was less expensive than
the Yellow Top and carries a better warantee (as you
can tell from my experiences, warantee sells me the
battery). I got it locally from an Interstate Batteries
Wholesaler for a very good price. No problems.

BTW, my stock battery (the first one...) died in less
than 9 months. The second one could not hold a charge
6 months later. The heat here seems to KILL them quickly.

Well, I found a great deal on a Battery. $50.00. But,let me just say that Diehard batteries Suck! A buddy of mine is a manager of a Autozone and he said the same company (Johnson controls or something like that) that makes Diehards used to make there batteries and that they stopped using them because of poor Quality Control issues. Also, I just bought a new Autozone battery for my civic on Saturday because my POS Diehard died after 1 1/2 years. The Battery I bought from Autozone has a three year replacement Warranty and was about $20.00 cheaper than the Diehard.
