Need Knoc Sensor Change, South Bay Area, CA Willing to pay

I had posted in local forum but no use, hoping someone here could help me out.

My 95 Maxima is throwing the knock sensor code and it needs to be replaced.

If anybody in South Bay Area, CA has previous experience (sucessfully) & tools for replacing the knock sensor on a 4th gen max then I will pay you up to $20 to install it for me.

I have sensor with me.

What do you mean you had no use posting it in the local section? Looks like someone responded.

The knock sensor doesn't throw a code. Check the harness that goes to the knock sensor. That's what throws the code.

I'm assuming this will get locked, but you should check the wire as previously stated. A lot of the time the wire is the problem not the sensor. Why not spend less than $20 on tools and fix the thing yourself?

Thanks everyone I will check the wires.
Turbo Max's Shop is in San Bruno, about 50miles away, I will prefer not to drive 100 miles (to & fro) for knoc sensor change.

^ Wow you're in Campbell and you're thinking about driving to Matt's shop? Matt's shop is great, but definitely not worth the trip for a KS, I don't blame you for willing to pay $20 (basically the cost of gas).

This statement is incorrect.

The knock sensor will toss a code even if the harness is good. Keep in mind, throwing a code and setting off a CEL are not the same thing.
