18x8.5 in rims

i just ordered a set of 18x8.5 rims and ground control coilovers. i was told with the rim being so wide they would rub at every bump is this true??? thanx

i dont know for a fact if they'll rub or not but i don't think they will...ive seen other members here with 18x8.5 on there maxes...but i think that was just with regular eibachs....talk to mannylove....he has 18x8.5's on his ride.....

I have 35mm offset with 245s and they don't rub...

My wheels are 20 x 10, and they just come to the border, with 255 tires. If I lowered the car they would rub, however, 18 x 18.5 shouldn't reach the fender, and should not rub. You won't have anything to worry about.

i've had these rims on for months and never rubbed once, and my car is lowered with H&R's

i went with the apex springs because they lower the car more than h&r's both having 1.5" drop but smoother than the eibach. my wheels are 18x8.5 all around and they don't rub even with 5 ppl in the car and i have 245/40's. i have seen a max with 18x11 on the rears and no rubbing.

I have 18x8 1/2 with eiboch springs and they rub in the front when i turn all the way to the left of right. no problen in back or with rubbing on bumps.
