u guys think this is a tranny problem???

Got an automatic 97....... (yea I know) anyways I was at the races last night and when I hit the gas numerous times it kinda felt as if the car was in a suspended state..... not the best example but the closest

The other times it felt like a lil slippin or jerkin.....

Any ideas the car has 121k on it.......

Also what would I need to do to do a swap to a manual....

Kind of like your engine's revving but you're not going anywhere sometimes?

Yeah, that's your transmission. I'd do a swap to manual... but that's just me. It's not cheap and it's not quite a walk in the park--you'd need to get a tranny, clutch/flywheel, master/slave cyl/clutch line, clutch pedal, shift linkages, shifter, shifter trim, etc and swap it all out.

you need a lot of parts, a lot of money, and a lot of know how to swap in a manual. It's not an easy job. You need much more than was listed above. There is a whole stickied thread for swapping it in. Very good write up and lists everything you need. I would love to swap one in but it's much more work than I want to do. Auto is fine with me. Your tranny does sound like its slipping so go to a shop and have them check it out.
