No heat/ A/C HELP!!!

I have a 98 Maxima with manual climate controls. This morning I tried to turn on the a/c and nothing happened. I tried all settings 1,2,3,4 and nothing. With the a/c on i hear the a/c compressor kicking in, but nothing out of the vents. Just wondering if the blower motor itself is bad, or is it just the resistor. Any guess?

You should at least be getting SOME airflow out of the vents on fan speed 4, which provides full 12v power to the blower fan. 1, 2, & 3 settings use the blower resistor circuit to reduce the fan speed. Of course you must also have a properly charged and working AC system to get any COLD air from the vents.

If its just the highest setting thats out its the reisitor, about $15 from Nissan. If none of thme are working check the fuses. If those are fine, check the connections int he back on the controls

i figured it out, the blower is on its way out, i turned on the car and fan and kicked the blower while sitting in the passanger seat and it started working again, so i took the thing out and cleaned it, and so far so good, we will see what happens.
