was on the interstate going a little faster than usual b/c i didn't want to be late for work when a huge semi just cut right in front me. for yall's info, my max doesn't have abs, so when the semi cut me, my car was skidding up hill on the interstate which was a scary moment. i almost hit the rear of the semi and the side barrier.
after i recovered, car seemed weird. it felt like i was still in 3rd although i was engaged in D. i was going about 70 at 3100-3500 rpm. car has 135xxx miles, and O/D is broken. will test to see if it went back to normal during lunch.
any ideas to what might be wrong?

well during lunch, everything went back to normal strangly.
and no, i did not hit the O/D button. My O/D function is messed up, the light doesn't come up whenever i engage it. After that incident, it was as if i turned O/D off. Its okay now. dunno why it did that.
would i have to get a whole shifter assembly in order to fix the O/D function?
