How much transmission fluid did you get?
I pulled the pan and replaced the filter. I estimate that I drained (and collected) about five and a half quarts of transmission fluid. I forgot to check the dipstick before dumping the fluid. Is five and a half quarts about right?
Here's the bottom of the transmission minus the pan and filter.

Here's the inside of the pan with the oily metal gunk still on the magnets.

And here's the filter with the different length bolts.

Should be about 3 when just dropping the pan, maybe 3.5. Another good half quart or so will come out if you drop the VB as well, IME.
BTW, it isn't really a filter, just a screen. Spray it off with brake parts cleaner and throw it back in there. Those magnets are spotless. I can't seem to find the pics of mine, but they were about triple their regular size just from ferrous material collected on them.
Of course, I was replacing that trans because it had died, so...yea.
