engine removal how to?

I've searched this site and others and I am not able to find any comprehensive engine removal how-to's that are fourth Gen specific.

I have the FSM and I can see that they say to take it out the bottom. I am planning on doing this at home, or at least I woud llike to. Has anyone yanked one out the top? Anyone know how to get the car off it once it's been dropped?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks.

Pull the wiring harness (takes maybe 10 minutes, tops). Intake, batt, axles, shift linkage, slave cylinder and unfasten the line if 5MT, y-pipe, hook up the hoist, undo motor and trans mounts, yank the ***** out.

Quickest I've ever had a motor out from start to finish is maybe 30 minutes, this being on my friend's Integra. Of course, that was it's 4th time coming out, so we were a little familiar.

EDIT: Also, obviously remove the belts, PS pump, and compressor.

Yeah but he removed it from the top. I dropped an engine and trans out of a '96 auto just yesterday, it took about 1 hour & 15 minutes!! It's suprisingly so easy to do on these cars, dropping it from the bottom with trans attached FTW! Just use the engine hoist to pick up the whole car about 3-4 feet onto a few railroad ties or cynder blocks (not recommended). Once the engine is dropped if you didn't have the car high enough you can use the engine hoist on the car again to get it even higher. Just wanted to add to above list, a/c lines, power steering lines, fuel lines, and heater hoses.
